Ashley Zehnder was a member of the Ohio Cardinal Conference Swimming and Diving Organization. Ashley is not only an expert swimmer, but also a professional lifeguard with Safety, CPR, and First Aid certifications. Zehnder was a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association Women’s Division II Swimming/Diving Championship team. Ashley holds several professional certifications, such as CPR –Rescue, Blood Borne Pathogens, AED, First, Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor and Administering Oxygen. Ashley went to Kent State where she completed her studies in Science and earned her Bachelor’s and Masters degrees. As a longtime competition swimmer, Ashley Zehnder has also served as a swim instructor between the years of 2010 and 2012.
There are several benefits of joining the Kent State swim club. These benefits include coached practices, organized swim meets, newsletters and special announcements for members. You also find that open-water training and competitions, along with other various social activities, help you stay engaged in the sport, as well as to keep you competitive no matter what level swimmer you are.
Expert Swimmer Ashley Zehnder says each person is encouraged to participate at their own pace, and within their own skill level. Individuals participating in this program can possess any skill level, ranging from those of the beginner swimmer all the way to those of an Olympic athlete. Don’t let that intimidate you, however, because having the opportuboth amateur and professnity to train with ional athletes can have an extremely positive influence on your overall swimming skill. There are also optional competitions wherever the Kent State swim club is offered. This program requires that you are at least 18 or older and that you have some level of swimming experience.
