Ashley Zehnder says this type of certification is for those interested in swim-related rescue and life-saving techniques. This American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED program helps participants both recognize and respond appropriately to first aid emergencies, particularly those related to cardiac and breathing problems. This program works by teaching skills each participant needs to know in order to provide immediate care to a subtly injured or ill person, at least until more advanced medical personnel have arrived and can take over.
Red Cross First Aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automated external defibrillator) training and certification is beneficial to a variety of individuals, including workplace responders, professional rescuers, school staffs, professional responders and healthcare providers. This training provides both certified and non-certified training options and covers several different categories, including those that can benefit professionals in the workplace, those in an educational environment and more. It also covers emergencies that occur in wilderness and sports-related situations. This course covers the same training that is required for both healthcare providers and public safety professionals, including those who serve as physicians, nurses, dental professionals and pharmacy professionals. You can also include school therapists, emergency medical services professionals, police officers, firefighters, and both athletic and fitness trainers in that list.
Ashley Zehnder holds several professional certifications, including those in such areas as CPR –Rescue, Blood Borne Pathogens, AED, First, Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguard Instruction and Administering Oxygen.
